Cinsault
(Cinsault, Cinsaut)
Red wine
Cinsault is a sort of grapes that is often blended with other sorts. This sort is munificent and gives from 15 to 25 Tons of crop per Hectare! At this amount these grapes have a very weak aroma. If we limit the crop properly at about 5 to 10 Tons per Hectare, it could give some very aromatic wines.
The dense grapes of Cinsault mould very easily, that´s why dry climate suits them best. The grapes separate themselves very easily from the stem, so this sort is suitable for machine harvest.
This wine has very little tannin, so it is most likely to become rosé. The aroma has strawberry aroma.
