Blatina

Blatina is a red autochthonous Herzegovinian sort. This sort is exuberant, it´s a female type of flower, has a fecundate fertility, which considerably affects the regularity of the crop. Every berry weighs from about 200 to 300 Gramm. This sort is grown on tall grape wines, on warm and dry areas. The must of Blatina contains from 19-22% sugar, sometimes even more, and the amount of tartaric acids is 6-7 g/l. The wine reaches the intensity from 12-13% alcohol. Blatina is of dark red color, with an aromatic and pleasant taste. The ideal temperature for serving should be somewhere around 18 °C.
