White wine
Aligote, a white sort planted mostly in Burgundy and some other parts of eastern European countries, like Romania and Bulgaria. It emerged from a spontaneous crossing between Pinot and Gouais Blanc (an almost unknown and extinct Croatian indigenous sort), like many other sorts. This sort is less appreciated than Chardonnay; nevertheless it gives a very drinkable and light wine, which is best when very young.
