Red wine
This is a sort of grapes, which is believed to have been brought by Greek immigrants from Italy a few thousand years ago. The name derives from the word Ellenico, which is Italian for "the Greek". This sort has been neglected for a very long time, but his could change some time soon.
This grapes like a warm and also very hot climate, so it´s becoming more popular in Australia.
The wine of this sort has a full body and a lot of tannin and acid. For this reason it is convenient for storage, and after 2 to 3 years of aging it develops a bouquet of coffee and leather, and it continues to develop till it´s 10 years. It gets very dark when ripe.
